Florida Landscapes (part1)
Objective: Students will paint a
Florida landscape in the style of the Highway Men.
Materials: poster board, water
colors, water cups, Highway Men paintings
Procedure: After discussing
the historical and artistic significance of the Highway Men, we will look at
examples of their work. Students will compare and contrast similarities and
differences among landscapes. I will pass out supplies and the class will
follow a step by step demonstration painting a landscape in the style of the
Highway Men.
Assessment: A=follows
ALL instructions (or does more) with great craftsmanshipB=follows MOST
instructions with good craftsmanship C=follows SOME instructions
with good craftsmanship D=does little work/ poor effort F=does
NO work
