Snowman Portraits
Objective: Students
will make a reindeer from construction paper.
Materials: paper,
crayons, glue, tracers,
Procedure: After
reading a book about reindeer, students will be shown how to make their
construction paper reindeer one step at a time. Step One: is to trace the head
on paper and draw a face. Step Two: is to fold the tan construction paper in
half, trace their hands once, and cut out two simultaneously. These will be the
antlers. Step Three: Glue everything together.
Assessment: A=follows

Illuminated Initials (3)
Objective: Students will draw an outline around
their letter, and a small self portrait, foliage, and a frame.
Materials: pencils, paper
Procedure: Following a demonstration, students
must draw a miniature self portrait coming from the letter, a vine wrapped
around the letter, and a frame around the letter.

Under Water Seascapes
(part 1)
Objective: Students
will make an illustration of an undersea picture.
Materials: paper,
pencils, makers, crayons, paint
Procedure:
During this two week assignment students will make an illustration of an
undersea picture. On their first assignment students will draw and trace their
undersea picture. Students must draw at least five different types of marine
life, two coral shelves, and at least two different types of undersea plants.
Students are expected to color their drawing with crayons on week two. Once
they have done this, students will paint the entire piece of paper blue.
