Intro to
Money/Draw Self-Portraits
After
looking at money from different times and across various culture, students will
create their very own currency.
Objective: Students will draw a
self-portrait for their dollar bills.
Materials: pre-cut poster board,
pencils, examples of money from different times/cultures
Procedure: Following a demonstration,
students will draw a step-by-step self-portrait. Their portraits should have a face (eyes,
eyebrows, nose, ears, mouth, hair, neck, shoulders) a border/frame, and a
ribbon/banner with their last name on it.
Assessment: A=follows ALL
instructions (or does more) with great craftsmanship B=follows MOST instructions with good craftsmanship C=follows SOME instructions with good
craftsmanship D=does little work/
poor effort F=does NO work
