Olympic Gold
Medals
Objective: Students will make their own Olympic Gold Medal out of clay.
Materials: clay, marker caps, ribbon,
gold paint
Procedure: As a class, first we will
roll a ball of clay, flatten in, press a marker cap five times in the shape of
the Olympic logo.
Assessment: Determined by how the
students “stamped” the logo. A=follows ALL instructions (or does
more) with great craftsmanship B=follows
MOST instructions with good craftsmanship C=follows
SOME instructions with good craftsmanship D=does
little work/ poor effort F=does NO
work
