African Savanna

Objective: Students will draw a pattern on a piece of paper.

Materials: colored pencils, paper, teacher example.

Procedure: I will demonstrate how to draw a Kinte Pattern with the help of the class. They will then go back to their seats to draw their pattern, and color it in. Each students artwork will be taped together to form a colorful class example of kinte cloth.

Assessment: A=follows ALL instructions (or does more) with great craftsmanship B=follows MOST instructions with good craftsmanship C=follows SOME instructions with good craftsmanship D=does little work/ poor effort F=does NO work
