Personal Flag (3)

Objective: Students will create their our Flag that illustrates significant things about their own lives.

Materials: paper, cardboard/string, pencils, scissors, construction paper, markers/colored pencils/crayons

Procedure: During the course of the next three visits, students will create their our Flag that illustrates significant things about their own lives. Having spent the previous week deconstructing and reconstructing the Florida Flag, students will brain storm about the things that are important to them. Day three will be spent finishing their State Flag. After students have completed illustrating their “state seal” (pencils, inks, colors) they will cut them out and glue them to construction paper.

Assessment: A=follows ALL instructions (or does more) with great craftsmanship B=follows MOST instructions with good craftsmanship C=follows SOME instructions with good craftsmanship D=does little work/ poor effort F=does NO work
